what are the best browsers to use to protect your data?

Well, to keep it short and sweet, don't use Google Chrome! Unfortunately, 65% of the global market does, meaning that 65% of consumers feed data to Google.

I use Brave because it aligns with what we believe here at Reklaim. It's privacy first and will pay you in Brave crypto tokens for using their product.

DuckDuckGo is also another privacy-first browser. While this browser doesn't pay you to use its product as Brave does, the one-click clearing of data is IMO the best feature. I am a sucker for the animation that burns all the trackers and history as the screen clears.

Mozilla /Firefox is also a good browser that is very much focused on privacy. Firefox has what is called Enhanced Tracking Protection that blocks all trackers trying to follow you around the internet while also protecting you from harmful scripts. All good stuff.

Safari is also ok, but not a dedicated privacy browser. Many of you use Safari due to Apple products, and Safari has always been interested in privacy. Are you aware that Apple owns Safari? Just keep that in mind.

So, in summary, I would say Brave and DuckDuckGo are best followed closely by Firefox and, to a lesser extent Safari. The two I would avoid are Edge from Microsoft and Google Chrome.

Stay safe out there!

Neil
